Are you doing the demolition, or are you subbing it out? If you do it yourself, your only expense is a dumpster. If you sub it, you have 2 guys for about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks to take it down to studs, plus the dumpster. Depending on where you live, you could be looking anywhere from $3-6K. The percentage depends on what you are doing for your remodel. I'd guess that you'd be looking at about 3-5%. Hope this helps.

Large enough for a car or two to pass through, I would think it would be under 300K, unless you live in CA, then I would plan on 500K
A mining or tunneling company, they are the only ones with the engineers with the experience to wet stamp you plans for the building department.

This is a tough question full of variables but i'll say $3000.
Keep in mind it may be more economical to make an entirely new bathroom somewhere else in the house (perhaps off the master bedroom) and leave the existing one alone.

But what if someone pledges $8000 to the police department renovation fund then they get pulled over the next day for speeding. That creates an automatic conflict of interest! That is why police are not supposed to accept free coffee or meals because it can put them in those situations or make it APPEAR to be something it is not. I am all for lessening the taxpayers burden but in this case I would say there are ethical concerns.
