How to get people to my real estate for sale ad on the internet when you live in a very rural area of Maine>?
Need to get people to be able to find us on the internet but don't know how to direct them to us. Can someone help with specific actions to narrow down the search options? We are in the center of a very tourist oriented area, but depressed as far as making a decent living. Selling the property ouselves and want to advertise only out of state. Thanks.

I'm a hiring manager and I have the same thing happen to me where people from out of state will call me. The reason that I don't put that information in the ad (that I'm looking for locals) is that from my view point….it should be obvious. Part of the application process is the I9. The I9 requires that I receive one or two documents proving that you can work in the US (like a passport or driver's license/social security). I am not allowed to use copies of these documents. They must be the originals. Once I have them I compare them to the applicant to see if the person in the photo matches the person in my office. Also, I want to see other things that I can't see over the phone. I need to see the person's body language. I need to see if the person had a hard time walking in or sitting down (that may or may not conflict with the job duties). I can go on and on, but it is not wise for an employer to hire someone that they have not met face to face.
